Choosing a sign type
A flat printed panel is the most economical fascia and works well for independents on a budget. A tray sign has folded edges that hide the fixings and give a cleaner, deeper finish. Built-up letters stand off the wall for a premium, three-dimensional look.
A projecting sign catches people walking along the pavement who would never see the fascia head-on. On a busy high street it often brings in as much trade as the main sign.
Do you need consent?
Many non-illuminated fascia signs are allowed without an application, but illuminated signs, signs in conservation areas and signs on listed buildings usually need advertisement consent from your local council. Check with the planning team and your landlord before you order; we can supply the drawings and visuals an application needs.
